Role Purpose
Driving process improvement through operational practices, industry best practices, and technological enhancements. Ensuring achievement of budget yield, productivity, and critical quality. Leading plant initiatives to enhance overall performance metrics. Analyzing process abnormalities, ensuring adherence to change management, and providing training to teams.
Key Result Areas
Objective:Process Optimization for Yield Improvement.
How:The role involves analyzing process parameters to improve yield, quality, productivity, and reliability in coordination with the manufacturing team. This includes monitoring deviations, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing best practices. Daily monitoring of process data, suggesting innovative ideas, and participating in sustainability initiatives are key responsibilities. Adherence to change management processes and involvement in grade development trials are also part of the role.
Measurements:1.Achievement of Yield as per budget.
2. 100% Compliance of Process Parameters deviation analysis run wise. Compiled report circulation after end of each run along with the recommendations of process improvement based on the data.
3. Run wise Yield Analysis report along with recommendations.
4. Implementation of recommended actions within the stipulated timeline.
Objective:Quality Improvement
How:1. Run wise Pellet quality analysis for major grades of Hard and Soft Lines. Comparing Pelletization of all the other similar plants of PCBL. Improvement of Pellet quality.
2. Analysis of Major and Repeated Customer Complaints related to Quality.
3. Participating in Quality improvement initiatives. Coordinating with all the stakeholders, providing inputs to the Department for overall quality improvement.
4. Suggesting new and innovative ideas for pellet quality improvement/Special quality property improvement
Measurements:1. Run wise pellet quality analysis report will be made. Recommendations for improvement will be done based on the analysis. Quality of Recommendation.
2. Run wise quality comparison analysis report along with the process parameters to be Prepared and Circulated. Providing inputs for improvement of special qualities (Tint, COAN, NSA, STSA, PAH) - Quality of Inputs.
3. Analysis Report for each Major and Repetitive Quality Complaints. Ensuring Zero Customer complaints regarding pellet quality.
4. Online offspec generation within the stipulated limit.
Objective:PT Initiatives
How:1. Active participation to complete the initiative within Target Date with collaboration with Manufacturing team.
2. Data collection, Project Charter, Job execution and preparing report of each initiative.
Measurements:1. Completion of initiatives within the stipulated time limit. 100% compliance with Timeline and Reporting.
2. Ensuring expected benefits are achieved for each of the initiatives.
Objective:Data analysis and Reporting
How:Preparing and sharing various reports in order to reflect the performance of the plant, including Monthly MIS report, Yield Report, APH Performance Report, Weekly abnormality report, Run Report, Shutdown report, Initiatives Evaluation Report, Trial Reports for new grades/Improved Quality of existing grades, New Equipment Trial Report, Process Diary, Critical Equipment History, etc.
Measurements:1.Quality of Reports and Recommendations.
2.Timely submission of Reports.
