Role Description

Role Purpose

The applicant will be responsible for define,  planning, measure, analyze, validate  research, development activities and  investigative research with limited guidance for a broad range of materials including carbon black, nano-structured carbonaceous materials , resins, other pigments, and related compositions / formulations for plastics, ink and coating applications.

Key Result Areas

• Gather information from different functions at PCBL Limited.

• Collect customer insights on product applications and issues.

• Work on R&D projects.

• Develop experimental planning with a timeline for problem resolution.

• Conduct laboratory studies for applications like inks, coatings, adhesives, sealants, dispersions, and material characterization.

• Align studies with project objectives and communicate results to management.

• Summarize findings and propose further studies or product requirements.

• Perform root cause analysis and document findings.

• Apply techniques to solve technical problems.

• Address customer complaints effectively.

• Develop new projects aligned with company growth strategy.

• Engage with key stakeholders to understand customer applications and challenges.

• Integrate customer insights with company technology capabilities.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to propose new project directions.

• Support strategic R&D initiatives.

• Establish technology platforms using existing and emerging technologies.

• Identify future pathways through patents mapping and technology gap analysis.

• Conduct competitive landscape assessments.

• Scope new product ranges and applications through intra-organizational collaboration.

• Ensure timely submission of root cause analysis reports.

• Adhere to project charter requirements.

• Track progress in monthly reports.

• Gather feedback from business and stakeholders.

• Identify new opportunities for the company and business growth.

• Propose new products and applications to stakeholders.
