Role Purpose
The Liaisoning Manager will be responsible for managing and maintaining relationships with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations, compliance, and efficient handling of regulatory requirements for the company. This role involves navigating the legal and administrative environment in India, representing the company in official dealings, and ensuring adherence to local laws,regulations, and company policies on a pan India basis.
Key Result Areas

Government Liaison:
Serve as the main contact for government departments, ensuring timely permits, licenses, and approvals. -
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to all legal and statutory requirements, addressing challenges with internal and external legal teams. -
Permits & Licensing:
Manage applications, renewals, and updates for necessary business approvals. -
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build strong relationships with authorities, industry bodies, and represent the company in key discussions. -
Internal Coordination:
Collaborate with teams to align business decisions with regulatory frameworks. -
Project Support:
Facilitate approvals for new projects, land acquisitions, and environmental clearances. -
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain records of government correspondence and prepare compliance reports. -
Crisis Management:
Resolve disputes with authorities, safeguarding company interests. -
Policy Advocacy:
Monitor policy changes and advocate for the company’s business objectives.

Experience
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Public Relations, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree (MBA) or professional certification in public policy or legal studies is an added advantage.
- Experience:
- Minimum 10 - 12 years of experience in government liaison, regulatory affairs, or corporate legal compliance, preferably in a multinational or large corporate setting.
- Proven experience in managing relationships with government authorities and understanding the regulatory landscape in India.
- Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Indian regulatory laws, business policies, and government processes.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to handle complex regulatory issues.
- Ability to work under pressure and navigate complex legal and administrative systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other reporting tools.
- Familiarity with ERP systems or databases related to compliance management is a plus.
