Role Purpose

Introduces and assists in implementing the best practices to improve the performance of manufacturing process, ensuring implementation of improvement projects to impact company bottomline and sustainability.

Define, plan and execute organizational goals and objectives and oversee key department metrics and work with data analysts to assess metric results and report trends •Responsible to lead the change process by working closely with the Unit Heads and the Corporate Leadership Team.
•Facilitates implementation of Manufacturing Excellence related initiatives across all manufacturing sites.
•Facilitates and arrange training of employees at various levels for smooth implementation of Manufacturing Excellence initiatives across all manufacturing sites.
•Facilitates in improving overall systems & process orientation across all sites.
Process improvements, and process and manufacturing initiatives
Anticipate and provide solutions to the organizations most complex business and operational issues

•To Provide project leadership, mentor Manufacturing Excellence team members and provides training in Lean and Six Sigma concepts. Facilitates in cascading the Lean and Six Sigma concepts down the line across locations in consultation with the Unit Heads and site ME, Coordinators.

•Coordinate with plants driving productivity enhancement & process improvement initiatives

Implement best practices, productivity enhancement & process improvement initiatives
Actively track and communicate status for key initiatives and anticipate and provide solutions to the organizations most complex business and operational issues •Provide analytical inputs to Chief Manufacturing on capacity utilization, costs, and productivity.
•Facilitates in devising & implementing measurement tools for monitoring performance concerning the business plan.
•Conducting process audits & process reviews for ensuring strict adherence to the systems as per defined guidelines.

Experience

Basic level of education

Post Graduate qualification

Experience (No. Of Years)

15 years of experience ideally 5 years as Change Agent in Manufacturing Excellence initiatives in the chemical process industry
Functional skills Should be certified Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt or Lean Expert from reputed institutions.
The person should have experience and sound understanding of unit operations, equipment and the processes used for the chemicals process industry and must have strong leadership qualities and communication skills and must possess a strong drive for results.
Should be well versed with ISO standards and should have exposure to business excellence models.
Should be well versed with analytical tools and techniques
Should be passionate about systems and process orientation.
Must have strong leadership qualities, communication skills and possess a strong drive for results and good interpersonal skills.
This is a corporate position, so capability & willingness of handling multiple locations is desired.
