Role Purpose

To run and coordinate the field operation in shift to achieve targeted shift production ensuring required quality and optimizing process parameters w.r.t SOC to maximize yield performance

Key Result Areas

1.Object:
Implementation of safety and environmental initiatives 
1.How:
•Hazard Identification and mitigation
•Near miss reporting
•Safety/toolbox talks
•Accident Reporting
•Ensuring PPEs compliance of self and team
Attending training and providing on the job training to team
1.Final Results:
•Monthly safety statistics for the function 
•Zero accidents
•Change in behaviour related to safety. 
Reduction in an unsafe act 

2.Object:
Coordination of entire shift operation activities (field) to ensure targeted line-wise shift production following the production and packing planning
2.How:
•Execution of scheduled shift activities (equipment changeover, nozzle checking, mixer cleaning, chemical preparation, strainer cleaning)  
•Chemical preparation (KNO3, Molasses)
•Equipment health and performance monitoring through physical inspectio3
Arranging and organizing equipment and operation requirements as specific to grade requirement
2.Final Results:
•Shift Production
•To achieve target shift production
•Ensure Execution Excellence

3.Object:
Quality Control 
3.How:
•Preparation of chemicals as per the SOP and specification
•Preparation and use of right quench for reactors and mixer
Nozzle insertion, nozzle checking following the SOP
3.Final Results:
•Cp value>1.33
•Shift Production Numbers
•To achieve the target quality
•To ensure Credibility & Customer Happiness

4.Object:
Equipment monitoring and coordination with the engineering team 
4.How:
•Filling up of equipment checklist/register on a routine basis
•Ensuring routine abnormalities are identified and reported in SAP 
•Coordination engineering team on abnormalities for timely execution of job
•Equipment isolation
•Ensuring schedule change over of equipment
Compliance to schedule operation activities in the shift 
4.Final Results:
•Loss of production during shift 
•Nos of abnormality identified and attended through engg team.
•Zero Breakdown
Cost control by avoiding unplanned/last Minute purchases

Cost Reduction Initiatives 
5.How
•OT reduction – the target is zero OT – planning jobs on schedule and arrange deployment of workers accordingly
•Increase filter cloth life
•Reduction in consumption of operating consumables – Ensure required nozzle pressure, smooth oil flow and nozzle checking 
•Optimizing chemical consumption through ensuring the preparation of KNO3 and Molasses is as per the SOP/Process Specification
•Increase in yield
•Ensuring zero spillages
Ensuring no parallel equipment operation
